Robust Heavy Wooden Planter - Rectangle. High quality, large and robust planter. A unique and original design, with curved planks to give softer lines and made with substantial log cabin timber. Width: 95 cm, Depth: 40.5 cm, Height: 40cm. The weight and the substantial build of this quality planter (planks over 5 cm depth at their widest point, 4 cm narrowest point and 14 cm high) means that larger/taller plants can be planted and the planter will stay upright in high winds.

In addition, for marquee events they not only add a stunning touch, but also create a subtle way of securing light duty marquees in high winds. A unique slotting / routed sloping profile (see photos), means that external water is moved away via gravity.

In addition, because the planks slot into one another, they can't warp and diverge from one another given time and it also means plant roots can't get in between the planks. All wood including all hidden surfaces i.

Plank ends have been treated with a rot and woodworm protector and then also painted in two coats of Cuprinol outdoor ducksback 5 year protection wood paint. This quality planter has been lined with a damp proof membrane to internally protect the wood even further and to stop the soil drying out. Furthermore, it incorporates drainage holes through the membrane and between the base slats, so that moisture around the roots can seep away. We believe the teal colour is the most versatile, as it appears to change colour in different lights from a blueish to a green hue or often even a light grey. This makes the planter look stunning whether it be in the back garden, in front of a property, a business forecourt or a marquee/wedding event. As shown in the pictures, wood naturally has knots or splits, which in no way compromise the strength or durability, but are part of its character.
